I joined i24 News’ Business Beat to discuss guns in America and what businesses are doing to help stop gun violence. The answer is more encouraging than you might think.
The fact is there are several major corporations (including Dick’s Sporting Goods) that have either stopped selling certain guns or are requiring a completed background check before selling a gun (federal law currently states a sale can go through if a background check has not been completed within 72 hours).
Much more is needed to solve our epidemic of gun violence, but there are some positive signs the business community is stepping up where our politicians are not.
